Yes, me. I did it.
I have received an MBA degree last summer - specifically conferred in August 2020, and today was my graduation ceremony for my accomplishment. Unfortunately the ceremony was done virtually and no picture of me in my cap and gown to show my grand kids in the future, but I am honored to have received Frances & Edward Murphy MBA Award along with my MBA diploma that I can tell them about. The award is given to;
To a graduating part-time MBA student with a minimum GPA of 3.2 who has demonstrated outstanding service to the Zicklin School and Baruch College by taking an active part in on-campus activities and leadership and volunteer opportunities.
To be extremely honest, I was not expecting to receive any award during my MBA program even though I was a regular on Dean's List during my undergrad, because I was not able to maintain a high GPA. This was a total surprise and not a bad feeling at all, and made me that I would like to "award" someone for their achievement out of surprise in the future (+ bucket list).
I wouldn't have done it without the support from my friends and family, yes that's for sure.
Last but not least, I wanna thank me for believing in me, I wanna thank me for doing all this hard work. I wanna thank me for just being me at all times. :)
